We've not officially held sufficient general meetings this year. We should discuss how to handle this over the coming year.

Previous plans:

  • designate every alternate co-op day as a GM
  • run the GM before alternate co-op days
  • GM on the friday before the meeting

The first two seemed to work well. It may be worth having a meeting as the start of every co-op (5 a year, including the AGM is a minimum).

We can also look to push more official decision making outside GMs if we settle upon ways to hold remote votes/consensus and record the results.

While I wouldn't recommend changing our processes around an AGM our articles can be changed if sufficient members agree, normally 75% of votes. If we had an agreed alternate process to ensure all members are informed and able to influence the co-op we could hold a vote to both add that process to our articles and remove the requirement to hold for the 4 GMs a year on top of the AGM.

For now co-op days are also General Meetings, we're still working out the process for this
